Joyce Okamoto Stringer, Venice, FL left to be home with Jesus on April 4, 2007. She was 35. She was born February 2, 1972 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She has been a resident of Venice for the past seven years having come from Tampa, FL. She was a member of the New Life Worship Center in Sarasota, FL. She was a licensed massage therapist, a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority at the University of South Florida and a member of Women’s Sertoma in Venice. Survivors include her husband, Sean; her parents, Cathy and John Okamoto of Tampa, FL; a brother, David Okamoto and his wife Jennifer along with their children, Miles and Wes, all of Dallas, TX; and a sister, Janice and her husband Sal Gagliardo and their son, Nicholas, all of Tampa, FL.
