Death is neither sweet, nor is it ever on time. It seems to those who survive it each day that only the kind, only the bold and only the strong are taken away. However, death will never be able to take from us our memories, or our bonds. Death stands but testament to our friendships, for each day that it continues on so too do our friendships. The days may seem bleak to some and hopeless to others hereon, with time you will come to find solace in those beautiful memories, in that friendship eternal. Fair winds and following seas Andrew, your Navy family will never forget you, we are heart broken.

To a fellow Navy mom and family, my heart goes out to you. Your loss was felt by all of us Navy families. We had hundreds of people with blue candles lit on December 5th. Lots of tears flowed right along with your tears and many prayers went up. None of us could wrap our heads around what all of you were feeling, but I assure you your loss greatly affected us and we were hurting right along with you. We lost a fellow Sailor. My daughter graduated the week before and I asked her how she was doing. She said she was hurting for your loss. She said "We lost a fellow shipmate". Thank you Andrew for your service to our country. Rest in peace, Sailor Andrew Adams. To Andrew's family, may God wrap His loving arms around you in this difficult time. Life is the journey through this world touching others through everyday interaction, love, caring and compassion. Some journeys are long and filled with many faces, hearts and lives along the way. Others are far to short however they can make the largest impact by the power of their short existence. That was Andrew, he has deeply touched the hearts of many of us who never had the chance to meet him face to face but have a face of someone we love that could so easily be him. And for that we are blessed. Thank you Sailor Adams for your Honor, Courage and Commitment to us ALL! To Sailor Adam's family, my heart aches for you and your loss, I send prayers and hopes of comfort as you continue this journey without your precious Andrew. When The Last Hand Comes Aboard No more a Watch to stand, Old Sailor. For you are drifting on an ebbing tide. Eight Bells has rung. Dog Watch is done. A new Berth waits you on the other side. Your Ship is anchored in God's Harbour. And though his sailors are of equal rank. there'll be Shipmates on the deck to greet you. And Pipe, as you ascend the Plank.. Her boilers with full head of steam. Cargo stowed and Galley stored. Just waiting to get underway. When the last Hand comes aboard.

Shipmate - The Lord has called you for a higher mission. We never know what God's plan is for us. We can only believe that there is a reason God's will must be carried out. Your service to our Great Country will be forever remembered in our hearts. During my twenty years of active duty, I never doubted what the Lord required me to do. You are an inspiration for the young men and women who will someday carry on the mission you were chosen to do. Our prayers are with your family and on behalf of the Navy families from P.I.R. 12-05-14, a donation will be made to the Venice High School JROTC Program and the local homeless shelter for our Veterans. O God, by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest, look kindly on your departed veteran Sailor Adams who gave his life in the service of our country. Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of your Son they Sailor Adams share in the joy of your heavenly kingdom and rejoice in you with your saints forever. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Sarge and Mrs. John L. Spadaro Jr.

The Knights of Columbus Council 11091 in Algonquin, IL would like to express our sincere condolences for the loss of Andrew Adams. It was out pleasure to host him and 22 other recruits for Thanksgiving. I personally talked with him for a little while at the event. He was a fine young man, and he made his country proud throughout his brief time with the Navy. Blessings to Andrew and his family. Sincerely, Dan Limbach Grand Knight Knights of Columbus Council 11091

Your son would have marched with mine through those doors on Dec. 5th, 2014. Instead, he got to march a little earlier through heaven's doors! I thought of your family often on that day. I pray for our heavenly father to provide you peace and comfort. To the mother---I pray especially for you---you will be in my thoughts and prayers for many years to come. No words can express the loss of a child or loved one. Only God can carry you though this grieving time. May he be with you in your darkest hours and give you peace to carry on. Sailor Adams achieved one of his most difficult challenges and may he rest in peace knowing so many supported him and his shipmates will never forget him.
