Obituary of Andrew J. Adams

Andrew Adams, age 20, of Venice, died on December 1, 2014 at the Naval Base in Great Lakes, Illinois. He was born in Sarasota, and grew up in Venice, graduating from Venice High School in 2013. He completed Navy boot camp and the requirements to be an Aviation Electronics Technician awaiting assignment in Pensacola, FL. Andrew was a music lover who played piano, bass, guitar, and ukulele. His favorite activity was spending time with his friends and his sister. Andrew is survived by his parents, Albert of Venice and Maricel of North Port; his sister Mia; paternal grandparents Clinton and Anita Adams of Seymour, IN; maternal grandparents Eulogio and Dominga Montealegre of North Port; and grandfather Albert Johnson of Jacksonville. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 10th from 9:30 - 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at Epiphany Cathedral at 11:30 AM. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery at 2 PM. Memorial donations should be directed to an orphanage or the Venice High School ROTC program.
