Obituary of Joanne Beverly McCollum

Joanne Beverly McCollum (Geist) was born on December 26, 1930, in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. She was best known as Pinky. She passed on March 25, 2024, near her hometown of Nokomis Florida. Pinky was jovial and always up for company. She was a free spirit who loved dancing, music, painting, and yoga. Over the years, she also enjoyed fishing, boating, and water skiing on the Susquehanna River and Gulf of Mexico. Pinky had an adventurous heart and in her later years enjoyed traveling and taking cruises. She frequented the Senior Friendship Center in Venice to dance and take yoga classes. Pinky was a supporter of the local Moose and was a longtime member of the VFW and American Legion. Pinky was preceded in death by both of her children Diane M. Treas and Edwin L. McCollum and her husband Edwin T. McCollum. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Constance McCollum, 3 grandchildren, Jason McCollum, Vincent McCollum, and Shannon Treas, and 6 great grandchildren, Joshua McCollum, Jacob McCollum, Delaney McCollum, Mercedes Treas, Arrianna Treas, and JayQuan Treas.
