Obituary of Susan Cento

Susan Cento, 73, passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ on July 22, 1950, Susan was the youngest of three children. She grew up and spent most of her life in Hamilton, NJ, graduating from Steinert High School in 1968. She married her high school sweetheart in 1970 and together they successfully owned many local businesses. Susan ended her career and retired from Horizon NJ Health in 2015.

Susan was a beacon of love, joy, and kindness to everyone she knew. Once you met her, she would become someone you would not soon forget. She enjoyed travelling with her husband, visiting many Caribbean islands, and spending time with her beloved family and grandchildren. Susan and her late husband, Terry retired to the Gulf coast of Florida in 2016 where they enjoyed the warm weather.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dorothy Walter, and her husband Terry Cento. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Jackie Cento of North Port, FL; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Michael Zita of Hamilton, NJ; her brother, Barry Walter of Georgetown, TX, her sister Janet Jamison of Carlisle, PA, brother in law, Robert Cento and his wife Dolores Cento of Venice, Florida, two grandchildren, Brianna Cento and Santino Zita; and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Susan touched so many lives with her kindness and generosity.  While she will be greatly missed, her legacy will live on for generations to come and in the positive impact she has had on the lives of others.

Services will be private and attended by immediate family only. Should you desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The ALS Foundation in her name.
