Michael Edward Angerame, 82, of Venice, Florida, passed away on November 14, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born on September 15, 1941, in Yonkers, New York. He is predeceased by his parents Rita and Dominick, and his sister Kathleen. Michael was married to Janet, the love of his life, for sixty years. He is also survived by the pride of his life, his children and grandchildren: Keith and his wife Nicole, Tracy, Brian and his wife Jennifer, and his beloved grandchildren Kevin, Christopher, Michael, Hallie, Kathleen and Patrick.

Michael earned an Associates of Arts Degree in Construction Technology from Westchester Community College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the State University College of New York at Oswego, and a Masters of Science Degree in Educational Administration Supervision with Honors from Pace University. While at Oswego, Michael captained the State Championship basketball team and was President of the Beta Tau Epsilon fraternity.

After a long career in the classroom as a teacher of graphic arts and printing at Poughkeepsie and Copiague High Schools, Michael became an Assistant Superintendent of Schools, retiring as Acting Superintendent of Babylon, NY School District. He was recognized as an outstanding teacher by the New York State Board of Education.

Michael and Janet raised their children in West Islip, New York, retiring to Woodbury, CT. After many years of snow birding in St. Petersburg, they moved to Venice, Florida.

Michael was a lifelong New York Yankees and Rangers fan and was an avid reader of history. He enjoyed old black and white movies and the opera. The most important thing in his life was his family, who will treasure their memories of him.

As he wished, a memorial service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Beta Tau Epsilon Service Scholarship, alumni.oswego.edu/givenow, and Tunnel to Towers Foundation, P.O. Box 70719, Philadelphia, PA 19176-0719, Tunnel2Towers.org.
