Obituary of Don Kissel

Donald E. Kissel, age 90, of North Port, FL passed away on November 11, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1932, in Indianapolis, IN to Walter and Lois Kissel. Don was an Army veteran and a master’s level Industrial Arts school teacher. Don and his wife, Pat retired in 1985 to North Port, Florida from Cleveland, OH. They became avid international travelers and enjoyed cruising all around the world.

Don was an active member of Masonic Lodges in both Cleveland, Ohio and North Port, Florida holding various offices including Master and President, respectively. Don was an enthusiastic singer in church choirs and was a member of the North Port Chorale. Don was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in North Port.

He is survived by his brother, Harold Kissel, of Wyoming; daughters Donna Kling of North Port and Debra Kissel of Avon Park; his grandchildren Brian Kling and Brittany Forrester; and five great-grandchildren.
