Larry loved tennis and many of us are better off for it.
He introduced many of us to officiating cand that will be one of his enduring legacies. He was the force behind the annual Public Parks event in Newington. The players’ party that he and Janet hosted were legendary.
We will raise a glass of red wine in his memory tonight.
Rest in peace, Mon ami. We miss you already.

Larry was a great friend for many years, as we met as tennis umpires in the early 80's. His greatest feat was beating me 6-0, 6-0, years ago one evening, while we officiating at the Newport Hall of Fame. While it was @30 years ago, I never lived it down & he always greeted me by calling me 6 love, 6 love. Rest in Peace my friend.

Dear family, I don´t even know where to start this message.
But I will start with a huge THANK you for opening your home, your family and your hearts to me more than 40 years ago. You were so generous.
You just took me in and made me feel part of your family.
I will always have a very special place in my heart for my "American Dad Larry".
He called me Sanna-Rooo.
I don´t know where he got that from, but that is what he called me. ❤ It was such lovely gesture from him to have thought up a special name for me.
Larry was the inspiration for my career choice. He was a businessman and I became a business woman. He inspired me to develop and hone my skills in sales. I made a career out of training others in the skills and values that he instilled in me so many years ago.
He was proud doing business with people. I am proud doing business with people.
I remember very clearly that Larry did business with his friends. And his clients became his friends. Such a wonderful mixture. He was loveable, loyal and endless amounts of integrity.
I feel blessed to have had such a person in my life. Tonight I will have a glas of red wine and drink to "my Dad´s" memory.
And I will also toast the rest of his large and lovely family and say "Lucky you" to have been loved by him for so many years.
Love Sanna-Roo
