Obituary of John Edward Mills

 John Edward Mills, age 69, of Venice, Florida, passed away on October 23, 2023.  He was born on December 19, 1953 in Jersey City, New Jersey and moved to Venice in 1967 from Kearney, New Jersey.  John was with the Venice Glass Shop for 50 years and retired in 2021 as the owner.  He is survived by his daughter, Kelli Jacobs and her husband Bill and their children Miles and Ann; a son, Michael Mills and his wife Jennifer and their children, Jacob, Charleigh and Bam. John also leaves behind his four siblings; George Mills, Isabell Mills Dietrich, Eddie Mills and Andrea Mills.  John was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Mills; father, Andrew Mills; mother, Catherine Mills; a brother, Andrew Mills and a sister, Colleen Mills.

A visitation will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Venice on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 10:00AM-11:30AM with the funeral service to begin at 11:30AM.  A graveside service will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
