Obituary of Ramiro Albarran-Sotelo

Ramiro Albarran-Sotelo, age 87, passed away on October 14, 2023, in Venice, FL. He was born on January 10, 1936, in Almoloya, Guerrero, Mexico to Vicente and Maria Albarran. He graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and shortly thereafter emigrated to the United States. Ramiro worked as an Anesthesiologist in Youngstown, Ohio for many years and was a worldwide teacher of advanced cardiac life support. He retired to Venice, FL in 2004.

Ramiro enjoyed art, collecting stamps, traveling the world, and hiking in our nation’s beautiful National Parks. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Albarran-Sotelo, and children Anthony, Patricia, Ramiro, and Leticia, and many friends and family.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice, FL on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a Tribute Gift in his name be made to the National Park Foundation (nationalparks.org).
