Obituary of Gordon W. Stoff

Gordon W. Stoff, 93, died Oct. 7, 2023 after a full life and a brief illness. He now joins his beloved wife, Marion, who predeceased him in 1999.

A Venice, Fla. resident since 1987, Gordon was born April 17, 1930 in Jersey City, N.J. He graduated from Rutgers University, served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, then completed his MBA at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. A successful 40-year career in food sales marketing followed.

Gordon is survived by his children David (Jennifer) of Arlington, Mass., Bruce (Terri) of Ithaca, N.Y., Susan (Stephen) Greene of Nokomis, Fla., and six grandchildren.

He was a devoted son, caring husband, astute businessman and lifelong Democrat. He never stopped reading and learning. He loved family, travel, baseball and driving – though not necessarily in that order. Godspeed, Gordon.
