Patricia Salt

Obituary of Patricia Daly Salt

Patricia Daly Salt, of Nokomis, Florida, and formerly Venice, Florida and St. Paul, Minnesota, went “home” as she was recently fond of saying, on Friday, September 22, 2023 after a full life of 98 years.

She was greeted there by her parents, Edward & Rose Daly; her husband of 40 years, John C. Salt; her sister Mary Rose and husband Bill; brother John and wife Cecilia; brother Richard and wife Margaurite, as well as many good friends.

Patricia, and those greeting her in final peace, we think of as our family’s ‘greatest generation’, and though sad at their passing, they leave us all with a legacy of wonderful memories, great accomplishments, and a next generation to carry on. They set the bar high, and I know that Patricia was so very proud of her many nephews and nieces, and their growing families, for their abilities to forge good, rewarding lives that honor those from our past, and enrich the lives of us and future generations.

Patricia is survived by her son, John Patrick (J.P.) and wife Monika Salt; grandson, Anthony (Angel) Salt; grandchildren Alexis and James.

Patricia, it was said, never met a stranger, and enjoyed the friendship of many wherever she went. Enduring friendships with those from her White Bear Lake youth, and more than 30 years at 3M, are testament to Patricia’s legacy as a true and kind spirit, and further acknowledgment that she’ll be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a venue to be announced. Private internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Diocese of Venice
