Obituary of Betty J Crandall

Betty Crandall, age 96, died peacefully at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte , FL, on March 10, 2023.

 

She was born to Warren G. and Grace L. Amos on October 24, 1926 in Medina, NY. 

Betty is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Bernard W. Amos, her sister-in-law, Shirley J. Amos, her first husband, Lloyd A. Warren and her second husband, William B. Crandall, and by her niece, Cynthia Graham 

 

She is survived by her nieces, Claudia Markuson of TX, Cheryl Smith of NY and Colleen Brose of LA. She is also survived by William’s children, John, Don and Polly. 

 

Betty graduated from Medina High School and went on to work as a secretary for Niagara Chemical and Food Machinery. After her marriage, she was employed by US Gypsum in Oakfield, NY and at Oakfield - Alabama School. 

 

In 1955, she married Lloyd A. Warren and spent many years with him in Oakfield and then in their retirement home in North Port, FL. After Lloyd’s death in 1993, she enjoyed her church choir, bowling and some cruises with friends. 

 

Betty met her second husband, William Crandall, at their church, while singing in the choir. They married in 2002 and spent their years together traveling to exotic locations, including Africa and Egypt. 

 

At Betty’s request, there will be no services. She will be buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canandaigua, NY, with her first husband, Lloyd Warren.
