Please accept our most sincere condolences on your loss. When I passed the news along to my Mom, Betty Troy, she immediately replied “She was such a beautiful, wonderful woman in every way”.
I called Mom this afternoon after the obituary was posted in today’s Scranton Times; Mom was a bit quiet and subdued. Then, she mentioned reading the obituary and began recalling “How remarkable Mercedes was” when they were close friends in Green Ridge. I realized that when she answered, my Mom was a bit melancholy; observing the bittersweet passing of her friend.
As we wrapped up the call, Mom seemed in much brighter spirits. Even from Heaven, Mercedes brightened her day.
