Obituary of William G. Coop
William G. “George” Coop Jr. of Sarasota, FL passed away on January 28th, 2023. George was born on December 6th, 1944, to William and Alice Coop in Birmingham, AL. He owned his own promotional products company from 1981 to 2016. George lived in Bristol, RI before moving to Florida to enjoy more time doing the things he loved such as golfing, boating, and fishing. George also loved to cook and entertain friends and family.
George is preceded in death by his parents William and Alice Coop; brother Paul Coop; sisters Norma Jean Strong and Karen Vernon; and nephew Jeffery Vernon.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Gail Coop of Sarasota, FL; sons David Coop and Charles Coop both of Warren, RI; and stepdaughter Chasity Miller of Sarasota, FL.
A celebration of life for George will be held at a later date.
