Obituary of Bernabela Tirella

Tirella, Bernabela (nee Rivera) has left this earth on July 28, 2022 at the age of 93 years and entered into Eternal Rest. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Carmen N. Tirella, her loving sons and daughter-in-law, Carmen and Alice Patricia Tirella and Albert Tirella. She leaves behind three loving grandchildren, Tricia Noelle Tirella, Justin Tirella (fiancée Erin Osborne), Amy Palmitano (spouse Rodrigo) and her recently arrived great-grandson, Thiago Palmitano.

She was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Juan and Susana Rivera. Six of her sisters and her one brother have pre-deceased her. Her youngest sister, Nora, with whom she shared a close relationship also survives her. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

She lived in Jersey City, NJ before moving to North Port, FL in 1994. Bernabela was employed by Light-O-Lier and Alpha Metals while still in NJ. She was a great cook and an avid gardener. Her family fondly remembers and misses all the wonderful meals she cooked for them. She was a communicant of San Pedro Roman Catholic Church.
