Obituary of Richard Dice Klenke
Our beloved father, husband, and grandfather passed into heaven peacefully on July 29, 2022 at Tidewell hospice with his family by his side.
He was born on January 26, 1934 in Pittsburgh PA. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 33 years and his five children, Yvonne Klenke, Darlene Tolbert (Buck), Jeff Klenke (Maureen) Regina Barton (Ron) and Scott Kirkpatrick (Christine)
He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Helen Dice Klenke and his two siblings, William Klenke and Jane Klenke Branch. Also, by his granddaughter Rebecca Stanley. He has 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was a lifelong member of STEAMFITTERS Local 449 of Pittsburgh PA.
Richard led an exciting and adventurous life as he was an avid fisherman, scuba diver, boater, bicyclist and craftsman/artist. He made metal sculptures from spoons nails, shovels and most anything metal. He won the Three Rivers Art Festival in Pittsburgh with his wall sculpture.
He was generous almost to a fault, would help anyone friend or stranger who needed it. No questions asked. He loved to laugh and have fun and did lots of that
He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends who loved him beyond measure. A goodbye viewing will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 1:00PM-3:30PM with a Celebration of Life service to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tidwell Hospice, Inc, Wounded Warriors Project or to a charity of your choice.
