Obituary of Ruth Kinney

Ruth Evelyn Kinney, 101, of North Port, FL died September 1, 2008. Ruth was born July 17, 1907 in Malden, MA to the late Charles George Hayes and Maude (Esdale) Hayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Kinney. Mrs. Kinney worked as a Registered Nurse for many years before retiring. She moved to North Port, FL 37 years ago coming from Wyandotte, MI. She was a member of Eastern Star Wyandotte, MI # 376, the Alamander Garden Club, North Port Civic Association, the Poets Club of North Port, past president of the New England Club of North Port and Charter member of both the North Port AARP and the North Port Educational Center. Mrs. Kinney is survived by her daughters, Patricia A Kinney and Cheryl Berecz both of Summerfield, FL and Laurie Gregory of North Port, FL; brother, Bruce A. Hayes of Barefoot Bay, FL; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
