Obituary of Travis Truesdale

Travis Truesdale passed away at his home on February 3rd, he was 15 years old. Born February 3, 1991 in Sarasota, he was a life long resident of Nokomis. He attended the Dreams are Free program at the Bishop Nevins Academy in Sarasota. A creative and caring young man; he loved trains, making amateur videos, reading and writing books. He did audio/visual work for his school and was a member of Epiphany Cathedral. He is survived by his loving parents Tom and Debby Truesdale of Nokomis; his sister Jaclyn of Nokomis; his grand parents, Nancy Bender of Sarasota, Rick and Johanna Chuchro of Sarasota and Mary Burke of Venice; great-grandmothers Ellen Nikola of Venice and Anna Bechler of Sarasota; his uncle Tim and Bonnie Truesdale, cousins Shawna and Krystan of Sarasota; his aunt Michelle and Stephen Hazeltine, cousins Michael and Clayton of Nokomis; his uncle Brian Chuchro of Venice; his aunt Tanya Sterling, cousin Marc of Sarasota. A visitation will be held Wednesday Feb. 8th at the Farley Funeral Home in Venice from 6-9 PM. A celebration of life will be Saturday Feb. 11th at Epiphany Cathedral at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations can be made to the Travis Truesdale Memorial Scholarship c/o Dreams are Free, Bishop Nevins Academy 4380 Fruitville Rd Sarasota, FL 34232.
