Obituary of Ivan Melnichuk

Ivan Melnichuk, age 80, of North Port, died on February 4, 2006. He was born on January 11, 1926 in the Ukraine. He came to Springfield, Mass from the Ukraine 17 years ago, and then moved to North Port in 1992. He was a painter in the Ukraine before moving to the United States. He was a member of the House of Prayer in North Port. Surviving family members include his wife, Maria of North Port; daughters Lubov Vlasuk of Massachusetts, and Galina Klebnsky of North Port; sons Vasily, Nikoly, Anatoly, and Vladimir, all of North Port, and Ivan of Massachusetts; 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel, on Tuesday, February 7th , from 7 – 9 PM. Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 7th at the First Slavic Pentecostal Church, 5845 Tropicaire Blvd, in North Port. There will also be one hour of visitation before the funeral service. Burial will be at Indian Springs Cemetery. Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel, is in charge.
