Obituary of Charles H. Kratzer

Charles H. Kratzer, 95, of Nokomis, FL died February 26, 2006. He was born October 7, 1910 in Buffalo, NY. He was a retired foreman from the Bethlehem Steel Company in Lackawanna, NY and moved to Nokomis in the early 1970’s. He was a Fire Chief and Commissioner for the West Seneca Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by three daughters: Gayle Scialdone of West Hartford, CT, Karen Bassford of Nokomis, FL and Linda Miller of West Seneca, NY; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Sealander of Cheektowaga, NY. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 1, 2006 from 6-8 PM at the Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. A funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home Thursday March 2, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colonial Oaks Baptist Church, 6901 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34241.
