Obituary of Lester I. Levine

Lester I. Levine, 76 of Long Boat Key, Sarasota, Florida died March 21, 2006 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 6, 1929 and moved to Florida where he also resided in Miami, Orlando and Casey Key. He was a lawyer with Roth Segal & Levine of Orlando before founding the firm of Levine and Cohen of Orlando of which he retired in 1993. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army serving at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. He was a Cum Laude Graduate Business of Washington Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, New York University Law School and was entered into practice in 1954. He served on the Municipal Planning Board in Orlando during the time of Disney planning and opening. He was Past President of the Florida Bar Examiners from 1969 to 1979. He was past President of Temple Israel of Orlando. He was founder, owner and operator of the Royal Coachman Camp Ground for 30 years which was the 3rd Destination Luxury Resort in the Country. He was privileged to be able to attend all the original Space Launches. A former Pilot and Boat Captain he was most proud to be a on the Literacy Volunteer Council of Sarasota. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Nancy Levine of Long Boat Key; whom he had known and loved from the age of 10, two sons Brian Levine of Venice and Michael Levine of Nokomis; three daughters Jill Litman of Providence, Rhode Island, Aimee Levine-Dickman of Santa Monica, California and Liisa Lee Levine of Studio City, California; brother Harvey Ross Levine of Scarsdale, New York and 11 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel Friday from 11 A. M. to Noon. A Funeral service will be held at Temple Beth Shalom on Sunday at 2 P.M.
