Obituary of Edward Norris

Edward Norris, Jr., 74 of North Port passed away September 25, 2006. Mr. Norris was born on October 25, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts. He moved to North Port this year from Hendersonville, North Carolina. Mr. Norris was a carpenter for many years and for the last fifteen years had been a building inspector for the state of North Carolina. Mr. Norris was a Baptist. He was a member of a member of the United States Air Force and also the American Legion in Hendersonville. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, two sons, Donald of Georgia and David of North Carolina, four daughters, Linda Hooper of Texas, Pam Starnes, Carol Mayo, and Kathy Allison all of North Carolina, one brother Kenneth of Nevada, two sisters, Mary Birkett of California and Roberta Retas of Massachusetts, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Norris will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Norris’s name to the American Heart Association, P.O.
