Obituary of A. Melcher Anderson

A. Melcher (Mickey) Anderson, 83 died October 23, 2006. He was born October 12, 1923 in Hudson, New York and came to Sarasota in 1982. He retired from General Electric after thirty years having been a General Manager and Vice President. He received a B.S. degree in Engineering from Union College in Schectady, New York and was a Professional Engineer. He was awarded an Ensign Rank from the Naval Academy during WWII. Survivors include his wife, Shirley a son, Mark M. Anderson and his wife Candace; a daughter, Daryll M. Anderson, M.D. of Louisville, Kentucky, a daughter Dayle L. Anderson, Atty. of Denver, Colorado, Grandsons, John M. Anderson, Matthew M. Anderson and wife Dana. Two great grandchildren Sky and Catherine and two sisters Jeanne Copp of Beaumont, Texas and Carolyn Flicker of Los Alamos, New Mexico.
