Obituary of Philip A. Hartley

Philip A. Hartley, 84, died January 17, 2007. He was born October 26, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan. He has been a Florida resident since 1981, having come from Big Rapids, Michigan. He was an Instrumentation Supervisor in Detroit, Michigan for a gas company. He also was a pilot in the U.S Navy. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. He was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #2632 in North Port, FL; Livewires Stroke Club of Venice, FL and a member of American Legion Post #110 in Port Charlotte, FL. Survivors include three sons: Philip A. Hartley, Jr. of Northville, Michigan, Richard and Bruce, both of California; five grandchildren; brother, William of Howell, Michigan and sister, Doris Clixby of Stuart, FL; and companion, Millie Merritt. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory is handling arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 22, 2007 at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, North Port.
