Obituary of Philip A. Hartley

Philip A. Hartley, 84, died January 17, 2007. He was born October 26, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan. He has been a Florida resident since 1981, having come from Big Rapids, Michigan. He was an Instrumentation Supervisor in Detroit, Michigan for a gas company. He also was a pilot in the U.S Navy. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. He was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #2632 in North Port, FL; Livewires Stroke Club of Venice, FL and a member of American Legion Post #110 in Port Charlotte, FL. Survivors include three sons: Philip A. Hartley, Jr. of Northville, Michigan, Richard and Bruce, both of California; five grandchildren; brother, William of Howell, Michigan and sister, Doris Clixby of Stuart, FL; and companion, Millie Merritt. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory is handling arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 22, 2007 at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, North Port. Memorial Donations may be made to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 5550 Sumter Boulevard S., North Port, FL 34287.
