Obituary of Francis George Kouri

Francis G. Kouri, 92 of Englewood, Florida passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007. Francis was born May 11, 1914 in Nelsonville, Ohio. He moved to Florida in 1975 from Dayton, Ohio. He was an electronics engineer in the Aviation industry for many years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi in Englewood, a member of the United States Army and served during WWII, he was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla #87, the Englewood Amateur Radio Society (R.A.C.E.S.) and the Charlotte County Office of Emergency Management. He is survived by a son, Paul F. Kouri of Englewood, Florida, one daughter Susan R. Brown of North Port, Florida, one sister, Catherine Nohle of North Port, Florida, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one brother in law Rodney Kisor of Tampa, Florida. A visitation will be held for Francis on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel from 2 – 4 pm with a Mass of Christian burial being held on Monday, January 29, 2007, 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi, in Englewood/Grove City, Florida with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Francis’s name to the National Shrine of St. Jude, 205 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Illinois 60606.
