Obituary of Bertha Dorothy Balch

Bertha Balch, age 100, of Nokomis, died on January 27, 2007. She was born in New York, New York on September 24, 1906, and came to Nokomis in 1992 from Runnemead, New Jersey. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Mrs. Balch was also a member of the Barrington. NJ Senior Citizens Center, and Past Treasurer of the Senior Citizens Center in Runnemead. She was a member of the Episcopal Faith. Surviving family members include her sons John R. Balch of Tucson, Arizona, George J. Balch of Nokomis, and Donald C. Balch of Columbia, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. A visitation will be on Tuesday, January 30, from 5 – 7 PM at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM. Burial will be in New York.
