Obituary of Gerard J. Desilets

Gerard J. Desilets, 84, of North Port passed away on February 1, 2007. He was born April 11, 1922 in Quebec, Canada and moved to the area in 2003 from Yalesville, CT. He graduated from New Hampshire Technical Institute as a machinist. Mr. Desilets was a Manufacturing Foreman for Platt-Whitney Aviation Company. He was a member of the Gulf Coast Assembly of God in North Port. Survivors include two sisters: Marie Brunette of North Port and Georgette Gendron of Manchester, NH; two brothers: Normand Desilets and Roger Desilets both of Manchester, NH and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2801 Fruitville Road, Suite 250, Sarasota, FL 34237. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory is handling arrangements.
