Obituary of Marian N. Weis

Marian Nissen Weis, 87, of North Port, FL and Elmore, OH, passed away on February 16th. She was born in Martin, OH on June 10, 1919 to the late William and Cora Nissen. She was a teacher in both the Toledo and the Woodmore Public Schools before retiring in 1976. A long time resident of Elmore, she and her husband began living in North Port part-time in 1983. She was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Elmore and was an associate member of North Port Community United Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband Wilson of 66 years; two sons, George A. Weis M.D. of Fox Island, WA and William L. Weis PhD. of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her son John W. Weis M.D.
