Obituary of William W. Hoitink

William W. “Bill” Hoitink, age 84, of North Port, FL died on March 26, 2007. He was born in Jamestown, NY on September 28, 1922, and moved to North Port in 1986 from Randolph, NY. Bill graduated from Alfred University and the Simmons School of Embalming. He was the owner and operator of Hoitink Funeral Home, now the Van Rensselaer Funeral Home, in Randolph, NY. He also worked for Hoitink Insurance Company in Randolph. Bill was Past President and treasurer of the American Legion, and also Past Master of the F & AM Lodge # 359 in Randolph. He was a member of the NFDA and NYFDA. Additionally, Bill was a Randolph volunteer fireman and a member of the VFW. He was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Venice, FL Surviving family members include his wife, Mary, son Todd B. Hoitink of Dublin, OH, daughter Ann S. Engberg of Flemington, NJ; sisters Janet House and Betty Lou Layton, both of Englewood; and 4 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Quality Health Care in North Port on Monday, April 2nd, at 2 PM.
