Obituary of Richard Jean Edmunds

Richard Jean Edmunds, 79, after suffering a long illness, died Sunday, April 8th at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Mr. Edmunds was born April 25, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1964, he moved to Birmingham, MI and retired in 1990 to Higgins Lake in Roscommon, MI and eleven years later to Venice, FL. Mr. Edmunds worked in the automotive industry at both Ford Motor and Chrysler. He retired as a Manager in Chrysler’s Product Design office. One of Mr. Edmunds greatest joys was spending time at his summer home on Higgins Lake where he was able to share special times with his family and close friends. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn (Fortune), two sons, Richard Fusco of Birmingham, MI, Robert Edmunds of Bloomfield Hills, MI, two daughters, Carolyn of Venice, FL, and Catherine of Troy, MI, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
