Obituary of Paula Jean Viands

Paula Jean (Crapisi) Viands age 55, of Venice, FL died at 5:28 P.M. Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. Paula, the daughter of Alex C. and Reva E. Baker Crapisi, was born in Rockford, IL in February of 1952. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1970 and also from the x ray technology department at Rockford Memorial Hospital in 1972. She married Robert L. Viands Jr. in Rockford on November 17, 1973 and moved with her immediate family to Florida in 1982. In Florida, Paula worked at Radiology Associates of Venice and Englewood (R.A.V.E.) as an x ray technologist for 18 years. Survivors include her husband, Robert of Venice, FL; her daughters Angela and Leah Viands of Chicago; her mother Reva Crapisi of Rockford; her brother Thomas Crapisi of Chippewa Falls, WI; her father and mother-in-law Nora and Robert Viands, Sr. of Loves Park, IL; her brother and sisters-in-law William C. (Cassandra) Viands, Betty Jo Viands, Barbara (Kent) Milton all of Rockford and Beverly Hayes of Elgin, IL. A Celebration of Paula’s life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Farley Funeral Home, 265 S. Nokomis Avenue, Venice, Florida 34285 Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Paula’s name to the Elsie Quirk Public Library, 100 West Dearborn, Englewood, Florida 34223.
