Obituary of Joseph Molnar

Joe Molnar, a resident of North Port since 1978, passed away Friday, June 8, 2007. Born March 5, 1916 in Avella, PA, Joe was a WWII Army veteran who continued service to his country as a USAF civil servant. Having moved to North Port from Miamisburg, OH, he enjoyed his Florida retirement gardening, fishing and golfing. He was an active and loyal member of NARFE and the North Port Yacht club. Above all, Joe was a loving family man. He shared his love with Aina, his wife of 65 years, and five children, Chuck & Karyn of Pinehurst, NC, Bob & Mary of Miamisburg, OH, Cindy & Larry Domi of Moraine, OH, Pat & Dan Schultz of Belleville, IL and Anne & Don Beane of Dayton, OH & North Port. He will also be missed by his sister Virginia Swart of Canton, PA and joins sister Rose Shively in eternal life. The special joys of his life were grandchildren Bobby, Tamara, Melanie, Doug, Kelley, Ben, Michelle & Chris and great-grandchildren Alexia, Kaleb, Rebekah, D.J., Dominic, Allison, Beth, Kirsten, Sammy and Jonah. He is also remembered by his many nieces & nephews and his many friends here in Florida and around the country. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Joe’s life will be held Thursday, June 14, 2007 -11:00AM at Lutheran Church of Living Waters 12475 Chancellor Blvd., Port Charlotte, Florida 33953. His family will receive friends at 10:00AM preceding the service and at a luncheon following the service. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Lutheran Church of Living Waters. Farley Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Port Chapel is handling the arrangements.
