Obituary of Richard P. Brady

Richard P. Brady, age 71, of Osprey, Florida and Mashpee, Massachusetts passed away on July 6, 2007. He was born in Jamaica, New York on March 12, 1936 and moved to Osprey, FL from Palos Verdes, CA after retiring in 1996. He was a manager of various companies in the metals industry. In 1957, he graduated from the Brooklyn Polytechnic University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and earned his M.B.A. from Rutgers University in 1974. He was active in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Osprey, the Paradise Peddlers South Bay Biking Club and the Phi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He was a former President of the North American Day Sailor Association and past President of the Republican Club of South Sarasota County. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Julie; four sons, James, Daniel, Michael, John and a brother, Rev. Edmund Brady. He also leaves behind three grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 5:00-7:00PM at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur on Thursday, July 12, 2007 -11:00AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Interment will be in New York.
