Obituary of John Robert Lavely

John Robert Lavely, Jr., 63 of North Port, Florida passed away July 27, 2007 in Sarasota. John was born July 21, 1944 in Lenoir County, North Carolina. He came to North Port in 1986 from Lehigh Acres, Florida. John was retired from Army National Guard after 23 years of service and retired from Charlotte County BBC after 14 years. John is survived by Vivian , his wife of 22 years, , son; Bill, daughters; Connie, Sheri, Vicki, son-in-law; Peter, brothers; Timothy Townsend of Jefferson City, Missouri and Dan Townsend of Canton, Ohio, sister; Nancy Smith also of Canton, Ohio, grandchildren; Steven, Kelsey, Alexis and Ryan all of North Port and Nicole, Britny, and Ashley all of Michigan. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Farley Funeral Home North Port Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donation be made in John’s name to the Christ The King Ev. Lutheran Church, 23456 Olean at Kings Hwy, Port Charlotte, Fl 33980.
