Obituary of Cynthia Lynn Orlosky

Cynthia Lynn Orlosky, 52, died August 27, 2007. A private memorial gathering, by invitation, will be held. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Thomas J.; a son, Timothy J. of Venice; parents Phillip and Barbara Carlson of Venice; brothers Eric and Kurt, their wives Cathy and Urszulla and nieces and nephews, of New Jersey. Also surviving is her beloved golden retriever, “Homer.” Cindy was predeceased by her son, Andrew R., in 2002. In 1975, Cindy received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Morris County Community College, Morristown, New Jersey. Her career as Registered Nurse began at Morristown Memorial Hospital and continued for 32 years, serving at Venice Hospital and Doctors Hospital Emergency Room. Cindy was a board member, active volunteer, and supporter of Venice Little League and committee member of the annual golf tournament fundraiser benefiting Venice High School Baseball. She loved to visit her sister-in-law’s Kentucky farm and became active in the Carrsville Community Association including its annual herb fest. Cindy’s love for nursing extended to many friends and relatives – giving unselfishly with compassion, love, and concern for those in need. She also enjoyed a passion for gardening and cooking.
