Obituary of Helene Cassata

Helene Cassata, 93 of Venice, Florida passed away August 28, 2007 in Bradenton, Florida. Helene was born May 4, 1914 in Albany, New York. She came to Florida in 1979 from Forest Hills, New York were she was an Elevator operator for the Waldorf Astoria Hotel for 27 years. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Singles without partners; American Legion Auxiliary; Fire Auxiliary of South Venice Fire House; A.A.R. P.; St. Raphael’s Catholic Church and Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. Survivors include, three daughters; Adrienne Feller of Forest Hill, New York, Elaine Evans of Venice, and Annette Fogarty of Valley Stream, New York, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held for Helene on August 30, 2007 from 5 to 7 pm at the Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel with a Funeral mass beginning at 11:00 am on Friday, August 31, 2007 at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
