Obituary of Lucille Robbins Howe

Lucille “Lucy” Robbins Howe, age 90, of Venice, Florida, passed away on September 1, 2007. She was born on January 28, 1917 in Pontiac, Michigan. She was the daughter of Judd Jerome and Emma Mae Robbins. She moved to Chicago in 1948 working there for Brunswick Corp. until she moved to Venice in 1970. She was employed by the City of Venice for seven years. She was married in 1977 to John W. Howe, who died in 2001. She was a member of the Venice-Nokomis Order of D.O.E.S., Kiwanis Club and Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by sisters, Marilynn Kneale of Michigan, Sylvia Radley of Price, UT; brother, John F. Robbins of Dallas, TX; her daughter & son-in-law, Suzanne & Gregory Ticzkus of Riverside, Ill. She is survived by her sons, Timothy J. (Lynn) Allen of Sacramento, CA; Stephen J. (Juanita) Allen of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Sylvia (James) Link of Kissimmee, FL; step-daughters, Debra (Bud) Geske of Venice, FL, Kim (Douglas) Lamb of Diamondale, MI; sisters, Elizabeth Redmond of Venice, FL, and a step-sister, Marion S. Albee of Baton Rouge, LA. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2007 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Venice Kiwanis. Farley Funeral Home Venice is handling the arrangements.
