Obituary of Ethel J. Craig

Ethel J. Craig, 87, of Venice, passed away on September 11th. She was born in Spring Valley, Ohio on August 8, 1920. Ethel was a resident of Xenia, Ohio until moving to Astatula, Florida in 1976. She came to Venice in 1998. Ethel had worked for the Kroehler Furniture Manufacturing Co. as an upholsterer and later worked in administration prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband John E. Craig, Jr. in 1999. Survivors include a daughter Rhea Proctor and husband Thomas of Winter Park, FL; brother-in-law Rodger Craig and wife Louise of Laurel, FL; sister-in-law Vivian Craig of Riverview, FL; three grandsons, Robert Kost of Winter Park, Greg Proctor of Orlando, and Eric Proctor of St. Francisville, LA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
