Obituary of Paulo L. Carvalho

Paulo L. Carvalho, 72 of North Port passed away September 16, 2007. Paulo was born May 14, 1935 in Portugal. He moved to North Port 5 years ago from Rhode Island. He was and interpreter and translator for the State of Rhode Island located in East Providence for 20 years until his retirement in 1999. He was the past president of the Portuguese Day in Rhode Island, president and cofounder of Portuguese Heritage Choir and a member of the Portuguese Cultural Association. Paulo is survived by his wife of 46 years Alexandra, two sons; Paul and Tony both of Venice, one brother; Rodrigo of Portugal, three sisters; Manuela Hudson, Gabriela Bettencourt and Rafaela Soares all of Venice, six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice.
