Obituary of Gordon Warren Shepard

Gordon Warren Shepard, age 86, of Venice, FL, died on September 18, 2007. He was born in Yawkey, W.V. on May 14, 1921. He was a manager for the Bridgestone Tire Company in Kentucky before he retired. Mr. Shepard was a Beni Kedem Shriner, a member of the Scottish Rite, and 32nd degree Mason in Charleston. He was also a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. Surviving family members include his wife of 60 years, Lillian, of Venice; son Phillip W. Shepard (Christina) of Elmira, OR; daughter Leigh Calitri (Robert) of Ashland, KY; and sisters Virginia Roth and Jeanette Stull, both of West End, NC, Rita Baroco of Pensacola, FL, and Betty Shepard of St. Albans, WV. A memorial service will be held at a later date in West Virginia. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association1230 S. Tuttle Ave., Sarasota, FL 34239.
