Obituary of Gladys Badertscher

Gladys Badertscher, 78, of Ocala, Florida, previously of Macomb, Michigan, passed away on October 7th. She was born one of eight children to the late John Palenkas and Katherine Kocik on December 11, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan. Gladys was the owner and operator of two beauty schools and five salons prior to her retirement in 1983. During her life she had fostered many children and enjoyed making porcelain dolls. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her devoted husband Paul; four children, Gail Platt of Ocala, Douglas Badertscher of Sarasota, Dennis Badertscher of Melbourne and Denise Hack of White Lake, MI; brother Edward Palenkas of Scottsdale, AZ; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
