Obituary of Elisabeth Nicholas

Elisabeth Nicholas died on November 6, 2007 at 7:30 am in Sarasota, Florida of complications from a long term illness. She is survived by her husband Jay Nicholas of Venice, FL; son Rudi Nicholas of New Baltimore, MI; and daughter Edie Lomason of Venice, FL. Lizzie came to the USA in 1960 from Germany. She became a proud American citizen as soon as she could read and write English. Prior to retiring in Florida she touched many lives in Grosse Pointe, Michigan by caring for the elderly. Lizzie enjoyed playing tennis but most of all she enjoyed being with her grandchildren: Peter Lomason, Abbey Lomason, Jacqueline Nicholas, and Matthew Nicholas. She will always be remembered for the way she would light up a room with her elegance and energy. Lizzie was the best mother, grandmother, and wife; we miss her so much already. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 9, 2007 at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Osprey, FL.
