Obituary of Marguerite G. Mikus

Marguerite G. Mikus, age 85, of Englewood, Florida, passed away on November 23, 2007. She was born on May 11, 1922 in New York City and worked for Pan American World Airways for 7 years where she met her husband and they were married in 1947. She lived most of her life in New York before moving to Englewood, Florida in 1984 after her husband retired. They traveled extensively throughout Europe, Central & South America, Asia, Indonesia and the Middle East. She enjoyed retirement and watching her grandchildren grow up. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Stephen Mikus, Sr.; children, Andrea D. Mikus of Siesta Key, Florida, Stephen Mikus Jr. of Andover, Kansas and grandchildren, Matt C. Mikus of Orlando, Florida, Stephen A. Mikus, III of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Brandon Mikus of Andover, Kansas. Visitation will be held on with a service to follow at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. Entombment will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 1230 South Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34239. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
