Thelma Elizabeth Cook, 87, of Venice, Florida died December 11, 2007. She was born April 25, 1920 in Tuscarora Township, New York. She was the former co-owner of Venice Cooling and Heating for 10 years, retiring in 1986. Mrs. Cook was a lifelong musician; Past District Deputy President of the Rebekah Lodge, Steuben County, State of NY; Past President of Tuscarora Township and Freeman Volunteer Fireman Ladies Auxiliary; Past President of NY-Penn Volunteer Fireman Auxiliary; member of 5th Degree Freeman Grange in NY; Past President and 8 year musician and lifetime member of B.P.O. Does, Venice-Nokomis; member of the Kaneohe Klippers; member of Grace United Methodist Church; member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 159. Mrs. Cook is survived by her daughters Kaye S. Glass of Spencer, Massachusetts, Bonny P. Trippi of Sarasota, Florida, Cyndi D. Dickie of Sarasota, Florida; Joan E. Miller of Venice, Florida; sister Wanetta R. Fairfield of Freeman, New York; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mrs. Cook was predeceased by her husband Burton P. Cook.
