Obituary of Virginia V. Dillon

Virginia Dillon, age 87, of Venice, Florida, passed away on December 22, 2007. She was born on December 15, 1920 in New York, New York. She founded several duplicate Bridge Clubs in New York and in Venice. She moved to Venice in 1980 from New York and was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion Post # 159, Venice Community Center and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Dillon of Tokyo, Japan, Terrence Dillon of Brooklyn, New York, Valerie Weed of Wilton, Connecticut and Michael Dillon of Catonsville, Maryland; her four grandchildren, Terrence Dillon, Robert John Dillon, Dillon Weed, Jessica Weed; and her close friend and companion, Cornelius “Pat” Comber of Osprey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert John Dillon in 1990.
