Obituary of Irene H. Werth

Irene H. Werth, 86, of Harsens Island, Michigan passed away January 18, 2008 at the Englewood Community Hospital. Irene was born June 3, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Mary Niemiec. Irene has been a winter resident of North Port for the past 25 years. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for her husband Lawrence Werth for many years. She was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church and St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Harsens Island, Michigan. Irene liked to play golf and currently still played Bridge. She was a loving mother and gave tremendously to everyone she encountered. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence in 1992. Irene leaves behind one son; Cordell Werth and wife Christine and one daughter; Lynn Parfen and husband Frank all of Brighton, Michigan, one brother; Hank Niemiec, two sisters; Theresa Scannell and Mary Ann Niemiec all of Michigan, five grandchildren; Jennifer, Karen, Michael, Chelsey, Allie, three great grandchildren; Ethan, Graham, Jillian and many many friends. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, February 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church in Algonac, Michigan
