Obituary of Albert L. Nist

Albert L. Nist, 78, of Bowling Green, FL passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL, after a short illness. He was born March 19, 1929, son of the late Robert R. and Loretta (Bush) Nist in Ashtabula, OH. Al retired from the RMI Sodium Division in Ashtabula, OH and had been a life long resident of the Ashtabula, OH area until his recent move to FL. Mr. Nist was an avid musician, golfer and fisherman. He also took an active role in all of the social activities at the Orange Blossom Adult RV Park in Wauchula where he resided. Al entertained the residents there and, on a volunteer basis, also entertained the residents of several local retirement facilities with his music. Mr. Nist was also a life-long blood donor to the American Red Cross. Mr. Nist is survived by his sister, Loretta Reisner, of Largo, FL, his daughter, Suzanne Hall, of Venice, FL, step-daughter, Carolyn (Carrie) Masek, of Ashtabula, OH, grandson, Russel Hall, of North Port, FL, granddaughter, Barbara (Bobbi) Dalton, of Ashtabula, OH, granddaughter, Deborah Iachini, of North Ridgeville, OH, and three great grandchildren, Amanda Iachini, Joseph Iachini and Hollie Dalton. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert and Adelbert Nist, his first wife, Shirley (Mossford) Nist, his infant daughter, Cynthia Nist, and his second wife, Maxine (Libby) Nist. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692. Visitation services will be held Tuesday, March 4, at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, from 3-4 PM. Interment services will be held at the Saybrook Cemetery in Saybrook, OH at a later date.
