Obituary of Roberta Bobbie Giddens

Roberta ‘Bobbie” Giddens, 68, of North Port, Florida formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, passed away March 18, 2008. She was born in Manhattan, New York and came to Miami in 1951. Bobbie and her husband Curtis relocated to North Port in 1988. Bobbie retired in February of 2007 after 17 years with State Farm Insurance Company in Englewood. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Port Charlotte. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Curtis Giddens of North Port; sons, Stan (Cindy) Giddens of Ft. Lauderdale, and Steven Giddens of Port Charlotte; daughter, Stephene (Ronald) Cika of Weston; brother, Ronald (Theresa) Lowe of Georgia; sisters, Cheryl Ervin of Florida and Nola (Bruce) Heilman of New York; grandchildren, Devin and Sarah Giddens, Joshua Cika; step-grandchildren Alex, Ashley, and Michelle Cika and numerous nieces and nephews survive.
