Obituary of Joanne Levine Hogan

Joanne Levine Hogan, 64, of Venice, Florida passed away on Friday April 11, 2008. She was born on July 7, 1943 in Winsted, CT to Meyer and Astrid Levine. Mrs. Hogan graduated from Torrington High School in 1961 and spent most of adult life in Massachusetts before moving to Florida 18 years ago. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Arthur Hogan; her daughter, Tammy Hogan; her sons, Arthur Hogan, Jr. and Patrick Hogan; her brothers, Danny, Richie and Randy Levine; her sisters, Linda Levine and Sally Weymouth; her grandchildren, Nicole and Haley Owens. Joanne was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Castle. Joanne worked as a waitress and clerical for many years before retiring to Bay Indies. She was an avid tennis player and recently won a tennis tournament at the Bay Indies Tennis Club. Joanne was a great red sox fan and frequently wore her red World Series championship shirts. She loved her Siamese cat Ruby Tuesday, and always made sure Ruby had plenty of food and water and a spot on the bed next to Joanne. Many people have commented that they never saw a couple as much in love as Joanne and Art who always did everything together. Visitation will be held on Friday April 18, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 19, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Farley Funeral Home, with entombment to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
